During the 2024 WVC conference, a serendipitous meeting sparked the creation of Project Sticker, a collaboration between The Bridge Club, Empowering Vet Teams, and MyBalto.
The story behind the project, however, began in 2021 when Catherine, the founder of The Bridge Club, became part of the 70% of the veterinary community affected by suicide after losing her nephew, Hunter, to suicide.
While we may never fully grasp Hunter’s perspective, one detail is clear: his computer was open when he passed. Since then, his mother has been on a mission to ensure every young person knows they matter—both in their darkest moments and long before.
Thanks to the efforts of the "Do it for Hunter" initiative, 75,000 stickers have been placed on laptops in Brevard County (near Orlando, FL), spreading this message of hope and connection.
Since then, Catherine has pondered, “What is the sticker in veterinary medicine?”
